YOUR PRIVACY MATTERS

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how WorldFlagle handles information associated with the use of its website, including information submitted through its contact and newsletter forms.

Privacy at a Glance

1. Who We Are

WorldFlagle is a website featuring an online flag guessing game and geography puzzles, available at https://worldflagle.com/.

This privacy policy describes how information associated with the use of WorldFlagle is handled. It applies to pages on this website, including the game, the Contact page, and the forms described below.

WorldFlagle is the public website name. Where applicable law requires publication of a legal operator name, registered address, or data-protection contact, that verified information should be added here by the site owner before publication.

2. Information We Collect

We handle only the categories of information described below, in connection with the website's actual forms and technical operation.

Information you provide voluntarily

When you use the contact form (Contact Form 7, title "Contact form"), you submit name, email address, subject, and message. Name, email, and subject are required; the message field is optional. When you use the newsletter form (Contact Form 7, title "newsletter"), you submit your email address.

Automatically processed technical information

Like most WordPress sites, WorldFlagle's hosting environment may process technical data needed to deliver pages and keep the site secure, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested URLs, timestamps, and diagnostic or server-log entries. The exact records depend on the hosting and security configuration.

Game-related information

The flag guessing game may use browser storage (such as local storage or session storage) on your own device to remember game state, for example current progress or preferences. We do not describe gameplay as linked to an identified account unless such a feature is implemented and verified.

3. How We Use Information

Information is used only for the purposes it was provided for and for operating the website:

  • Responding to contact requests, feedback, and support questions.
  • Operating website functions, including the game and forms.
  • Handling newsletter subscriptions where that workflow is configured.
  • Maintaining security, preventing spam and abuse, and diagnosing technical issues.
  • Improving website functionality where supported by the processing described in this policy.

We do not claim consent from mere site visits. Where a purpose requires consent (for example, optional marketing emails), consent is sought through the relevant form or mechanism.

4. Contact Form Submissions

WorldFlagle uses Contact Form 7 with shortcode

Error: Contact form not found.

. Fields: name (required), email (required), subject (required), message (optional).

  • What is submitted: the name, email, subject, and message you type.
  • Why: so we can read and reply to your inquiry.
  • How received: submissions are emailed to the site's configured inbox. Whether a copy is also stored in WordPress depends on whether a database-storage add-on is installed and how mail delivery is configured.
  • Spam checks: if an anti-spam integration is enabled for the form, submissions may be checked by that service.

We do not state a fixed retention period here because it depends on inbox management and any storage add-on settings. Messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up, unless a longer period is required.

5. Newsletter Subscriptions

WorldFlagle provides a newsletter form with shortcode

Error: Contact form not found.

containing a single required email field.

Submitting this form sends your email address to WorldFlagle as a subscription request. Whether addresses are added to a mailing list, which email service receives them, whether a confirmation step applies, and whether marketing emails are sent all depend on the mailing integration actually connected to this form.

If a mailing system is not yet connected, the form should not be described as subscribing you to a working mailing list. Where a working subscription exists, each marketing email will explain how to unsubscribe, and you can also write to support@worldflagle.com to request removal.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

WorldFlagle uses only the cookies and browser storage needed for its actual features. We do not list specific cookie names or lifetimes here because they depend on the live WordPress, Divi, game, and consent configuration.

  • Strictly necessary: WordPress session and security functions, and form spam protection, where enabled.
  • Functional / game state: browser local storage or session storage that keeps game progress on your device.
  • Preferences: any cookie that remembers a consent choice, only if a consent tool is installed.
  • Analytics or advertising: only if such tools are installed and disclosed by the site owner. We do not claim the site is cookie-free.

You can control cookies in your browser settings: block, delete, or allow them per site. Blocking some cookies may affect game memory or form spam protection. We do not claim to honor Do Not Track signals unless that behavior is implemented.

7. Third-Party Services

Information may be processed by third parties only where they are actually used to run the site, for example:

  • Website hosting and network delivery.
  • Email delivery for form notifications.
  • Spam protection for Contact Form 7, if enabled.
  • Analytics, embedded content, or font/icon delivery, if installed.

Only providers actually connected to WorldFlagle process information, and only for the purpose of providing their service. The site owner should list the verified providers here before publication. We do not claim that no third party ever processes information, because hosting, email, and similar services necessarily do.

8. How Information May Be Shared

We share information only as needed to operate the site: with service providers that help deliver hosting, email, security, or mailing functions, and where disclosure is required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the website.

We do not make blanket claims such as "we never share data" or "all data stays on one server," because routine website operation involves the providers described above.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to a WordPress website, such as encrypted HTTPS connections where enabled, restricted administrative access, and hosting-level protections. Access to form submissions and site administration is limited to authorized persons.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We do not claim certifications, audits, or guarantees that information can never be compromised.

10. How Long We Retain Information

Retention follows the purpose of processing:

  • Contact messages: kept as long as needed to respond and handle follow-up, then deleted or archived according to inbox practice.
  • Newsletter addresses: kept while the subscription is active and removed upon unsubscribe or deletion request, subject to the mailing system's configuration.
  • Logs and security records: kept per hosting and security-tool settings.
  • Game data on your device: remains until you clear browser storage.

We do not invent fixed day or year counts. Where law requires longer retention, that requirement applies.

11. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights such as requesting access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; objecting to or limiting certain processing; withdrawing consent; requesting portability; or raising a complaint with an appropriate authority. Available rights differ by jurisdiction.

To make a request, email support@worldflagle.com from the address you used with us and describe your request. We will respond according to applicable requirements. We do not promise a specific response deadline in this policy and do not provide a separate privacy-request form.

12. Children's Privacy

WorldFlagle is a geography guessing game that may interest younger visitors. The site does not knowingly operate an age-verification or parental-consent system, and its forms are general contact and newsletter forms not directed at collecting children's data.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our forms, contact support@worldflagle.com so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or for operational or legal reasons. The revision date at the top of this page shows the current version: October 24, 2026. That date is changed only when the published policy is actually revised, not automatically on each visit. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
